EverySongIOwn is the project of Louis McCallum, with one aim: to perform music using every song he has ever owned.

This simple conceit has developed over 5 years to encompass a practice exploring how algorithms can help map, discover, recombine and regenerate large collections of prerecorded music. As owning music has become an increasingly tenuous pursuit, he often relies on a hard drive of music from his teenage years, or totally legally obtained music from his streaming service data trail.

Hypersampling, microdjing, everything all at once — the music is a record of listening.
